FOLK 'N FIDDLE FESTIVAL needs volunteers!

We want you to join us for Sidney's new folk festival, FOLK 'N FIDDLE FESTIVAL! We are looking for general volunteers for our hospitality, security, merchandise tables, poster distribution, float team and more! Interested in becoming a volunteer? Email volunteers@folknfiddle.ca This family-friendly community event will take place May 31st and June 1st, 2019. The main festival events will take place at the Mary Winspear Centre. The big kick-off will be a Gala Concert on Friday night featuring Darol Anger & Mike Marshall (California, USA) with West My Friend (Victoria, BC). The Festival will include; multiple performance stages, workshops for all abilities and ages, talks, an all-ages interactive exploration room, local artisan vendors and food trucks. FOLK 'N FIDDLE FESTIVAL is excited to announce our wonderful line-up: Darol Anger & Mike Marshall, Coco Love Alcorn, Alex Wells, Electric Timber Co., Del Rey, Daniel Lapp with Stephanie Cadman & Adrian Dolan, Tiller's Folly, The Wilds, Troy MacGillivray, Wesley Hardisty, Denis Donnelly and many more! FOLK 'N FIDDLE FESTIVAL will be offering free community events throughout the town of Sidney in the week leading up to the Festival: Visit the Artsea Gallery in Tulista Park (9565 With St, Sidney, BC) which will feature "Straitscapes" a wonderful photography exhibit by local resident Tim Rogers. (Exhibit will run May 24-May 30, 2019 from 10:00am-4:00pm daily.) The Sidney Bandshell will also be part of our free community concerts and we are excited to showcase The Sweet Lowdown (Thursday, May 30 at 5:00pm) and Pierre Schryer & Adam Dobres and special guests (Friday, May 31 at 5:00pm). Our focus for this is a community-oriented festival with an emphasis on education, cultural inclusiveness, and fostering local musicians of all ages. Tickets are on sale at the Mary Winspear Centre Ticket Office, and be sure to book yours before they sell out!
