I've had to check out a moisture issue in my house and apparently one can't rent moisture meters (neither homedepot nor United rentals etc). I ended up buying a cheap one ($70) and this one ($300), which is much better: consistent readings, senses deeper and can get into corners (eg windows, chimney, fiberglass etc). I'm looking to rent this one to anyone who is in a similar position. Extech M0257 Senses moisture behind drywall, plaster, vinyl, fiberglass, concrete, masonry and wood. Depth: 0.8 - 1.6 inches $10/day with a $200 deposit (to ensure I get it back working)
