Experienced Tax Preparer

Obara & Company LLP is a Chartered Professional Accounting firm located downtown Victoria. We provide tax, accounting, assurance, bookkeeping and consulting services to individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations in the local community. Position available: Experienced Income Tax Preparer We are looking for an experienced tax preparer to join our team. This position is best suited for someone who enjoys working in a smaller sized firm and has experience preparing personal income tax returns with a variety of types of income to report: from self-employed individuals to real estate rentals, and investors to commissioned employees. Your role would include: * Preparation of personal tax returns Skills/Qualities we are seeking: * At least three (3) years of personal income tax preparation experience * Experience with Profile is an asset * Strong communication skills * Manages workload and meets deadlines * A high regard for accuracy and attention to detail * Ability to work extended hours during busy times of the year This position is for a contract term from March 15 to April 30. Competitive salary or hourly contractor rates available based on candidate's experience. Possibility to start sooner based on applicant's previous experience.
