Experienced Income Tax Preparer

Established in 1984 by Barry Obara, Obara & Company is a Chartered Professional Accounting firm located downtown Victoria. We provide tax, accounting, assurance, bookkeeping and consulting services to individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations in the local community. Our firm is a Pre-approved Training Office with CPABC. Position available: Experienced Tax Preparer We are looking for an experienced tax preparer to join our team. This position is best suited for someone who enjoys working in a smaller sized firm and has experience preparing personal income tax returns with a variety of types of income to report: from self-employed individuals to real estate rentals, and investors to commissioned employees. Your role would include: - Preparation of personal tax returns Skills/Qualities we are seeking: - At least two years of personal income tax preparation experience - Experience with Profile is an asset - Strong communication skills - Manages workload and meets deadlines - A high regard for accuracy and attention to detail - Ability to work extended hours during busy times of the year This position is for a contract term from March 11, 2019 to May 3, 2019. Competitive salary or hourly contractor rates available based on the candidate's experience. Possibility to start sooner based on applicants previous experience.
