Early Childhood Educator Infant Toddler / ECE IT

Mary's Place Childcare is looking for a well-organized, professional, and experienced Early Childhood Educator, preferably with IT credentials, to join our team. Job Title: Early Childhood Educator/Infant Toddler Reports to: Childcare Manager Team: Mary's Place Childcare Team Location: 4351 West Saanich Road Authority Level: Frontline Date: March 2019 Pay Rate: $24.22-$26.70/hr which includes the ECE Wage Enhancement of $1.00 /hr, increasing by $1.00/hr April 1st, 2020. We also offer an excellent benefit package including pension, health & dental, sick day entitlements & generous vacation which include 3 weeks off to start plus 3 paid days off per year. Desired Qualifications * Diploma in Early Childhood Education with Infant and Toddler * Current BC License to Practice * First Aid Certification -Infant CPR * Understanding of The Community Care Facilities Branch licensing requirements * Adherence to the ECE of BC Code of Ethics * Mature and responsible attitude towards work and co-workers * An understanding of the issues that affect children and their families * One -two years of experience working in an Early Childhood Centre with specialized knowledge in programs for infants and toddlers. * Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and community members. * Experience working with children with mental and physical disabilities and the community supports available. * Willingness to work flexible hours * Willingness to attend meetings and events after hours * Understanding of the Mission and Values of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul * General office management skills * Will be required to successfully obtain a Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Check clearance letter prior to commencing employment.
