Early Childhood Educator (After School Care)

Maria Montessori Academy is a preschool through Gr 12 Montessori school located in the Gordon Head area of Victoria. We boast a thriving community of 300 learners and a vibrant staff. We are currently seeking to add two staff members to our licensed after school program for our preschool/kindergarten students. Due to this being a licensed program, this person must have their ECE or ECE-A. We are looking for someone with the ability to engage with children, plan, participate in and supervise activities, and maintain a clean and organized environment. Montessori experience is an asset, but is not required. The ideal candidate: - is reliable, punctual, and organized - has experience working with this age group in a recreational setting - has exceptional communication skills with both children and adults - is enthusiastic, patient,and flexible - has current First Aid (or willingness to acquire) - has a clean criminal record check - has their ECE (required for working our preschool/kindergarten program) - must be available to work 2:15 - 5:30 M-F We offer a competitive wage and there is the possibility of additional hours for the right person.
