We are a Reggio inspired, play-based infant Toddler Center nestled in a beautiful nature-based environment. Our unique program offers a small class size and a high level of autonomy over your day. We are committed to offering a play-based program which reflects the interests of the children and families enrolled. Position Details: We are currently seeking a Head Teacher to work full or part time beginning as soon as possible. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 8:15-4:45. The head teacher provides leadership over all areas of the children's program and works with the assistant teacher to plan and implement a high-quality program. They will also work directly with owner to provide guidance on operational matters. We offer a competitive salary ranging between $48-50,000 based on experience and qualifications. Our head teacher will take a leadership role over implementation of the daily program using a play-based philosophy in line with the BC Early Learning Framework. Candidates should have recent experience working in a play-based environment. You must demonstrate an ongoing commitment to professional development and continued education. Solid planning, organizational, leadership, and communication skills are essential. Required Qualifications: -Current BC Early Childhood Education license to practice. -Two or more years relevant teaching experience. -Prior to start date you must provide a current first aid certificate, proof of medical fitness, criminal records check, immunization history, and references (as required by childcare licensing).
