Dispatcher Regional location of the job(s): VictoriaHourly wages offered:Starting $14.46-15.26 (common), $15-16 (for VIHA dispatch) Job details - Primary functions involve monitoring and dispatching guards for alarms, incidents, etc. Also documenting events and passing on relevant information onto management - Shifts usually 8 hours in length (VIHA dispatch is usually 12 hour shifts). Setting/Environment: Indoors, computer desk Number of positions available: 1-4 Job Responsibilities Provide superior customer service to clients and general public. Use scheduling software to track and schedule guards at various sites. Proactively respond to and resolve emergency situations and conflicts. Complete evacuation and emergency response procedures if necessary. Communicate problems or concerns to the site supervisors and managers. Ensure logs and reports are filled out accurately and professionally Be familiar with the post orders and health and safety regulations. Perform all duties with high safety standards. Job Requirements BC Security Licence (mandatory) OFA 1 (mandatory) Able to use cell phone/2-way radio important, and previous security experience an asset. Must be very comfortable with computers and various software programs, as well as great communication and report writing skills. Ability to use digital CCTV software important. Discretion and tact important, especially when dealing with the general public, and staff.
