$1,300 · Desperate for family housing anywhere on the lower island

We are a family 3 with son starting preschool in the fall, husband working full time, wife commencing gradual return to work after a difficult year, medically. Days before Christmas we were served notice to vacate by the end of February as our landlord wants our space for his blending family. It's now mid January and we've been unable to connect with any suitable rentals - the only person to respond to us willing to rent to a family stopped responding after 1 email. If you know anyone who has a place they're renting who doesn't want to see a young family separated in the shelter system (there are no family shelters) please, PLEASE drop us a line. We are non-partyers, educated and respectful, we're looking for long term and always pay our rent on time. We found our quiet, safe, neighborhood shortly after our son's birth and were lucky enough to have missed the worst of the rent increases in recent years. We have been paying just over $1200 including utilities and realize it may be hard to find anything that affordable but with the wife's pay not yet back to full due to illness we're just hoping there's somewhere nice we can still afford so we can stay in our beautiful city we were born and raised in. We can't afford the $2k a month that appears typical for a 2 bedroom these days but we're happy to maintain and repair the home and/or quite comfortable with a smaller space, we don't need 2 bedrooms.
