Design Assistant

Ryan Hoyt Designs Inc. is a progressive residential design studio in Victoria BC, specializing in Custom Homes. We currently have an opening for a Design Assistant. This is a junior level position with opportunities for career development and advancement within the Residential design field. Roles & Responsibilities: Provide general assistance and administrative support for Project Designers and Technical Staff; Provide miscellaneous office administration duties ; Coordinate and administer company printing and reproduction services, assemble and organize documents for permit and presentation submissions; Maintain and organize company drawing and document templates and standards; Growth and progress in this role will include mentorship and training in design, drafting, and building technology with opportunities to advance to a design technician / technologist role. Skills and Qualifications: Preference will be given for applicants with experience in the following: Some formal training or experience in Design, Construction, or Computer Aided Design. Our company operates exclusively in Autodesk Revit Architecture. A proficiency with this software suite is very desirable. Ability to use MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) Graphic Design skills Social Media skills Candidate Profile: Career oriented individual with a desire to grow professionally in the field of residential design A team player with a positive attitude; Strong people skills; Self-starter, ability to work independently; Organized and able to excel in a fast-paced working environment; Compensation: Negotiable based upon skills and experience.
