Smiles at Home Mobile Dental Hygiene Services Inc. specializes in mobile dental hygiene services for seniors in Victoria, British Columbia. The hygienists of Smiles at Home are able to provide bedside dental hygiene treatment for residents in long term care facilities who cannot obtain access to traditional office settings. POSITION DESCRIPTION As an independently contracted dental hygienist with Smiles at Home, you provide high-level periodontal care which prevents avoidable pain, infection and systemic complications for our clients. With the support of dentists and facility staff, you coordinate treatment needs and ensure that residents receive individualized regular care. AVAILABILITY 2 days per week RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE * Transportation of mobile dental hygiene equipment between facility locations * Consultation with facility staff regarding on-going care and pre-medication needs * Client treatment * Instrument sterilization * Documentation in both paper and electronic charting REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * Registered Dental Hygienist currently in Good Standing with the College of Dental Hygienist of British Columbia * Minimum 2 years dental hygiene work experience * Class 5 British Columbia Driver's License in Good Standing * Owns a reliable vehicle with a large trunk/storage space and is willing to use it to transport mobile dental hygiene equipment * Some light lifting required (able to lift 30 pound equipment case for transportation purposes to and from vehicle to mobile dental hygiene cart). * 365-Exempt Qualification preferred but not required Please send your resume to hr@smilesathome.com Position will remain open until filled.
