Copper - Coonhound Dog

Copper is an active young hound mix, he has lots of energy and can be mischievous when left unattended. Copper is a master escape artist, so outside time must be under supervision or in an extremely secure space (where he can't climb or dig out). This is very typical to the hound breed, Copper is less enticed to make mischief when he is well exercised. In the past Copper has participated in flyball with success, he would also be a great candidate for tracking, nose work, agility, dock diving, and many other dog sports. Copper can be reactive to other dogs and will need a guardian comfortable taking this on with the oversight of a force free trainer. This sweetheart is highly food motivated and thus easy to train as long as you work within his comfort zone. Copper has lived with another dog in the past and has shown the ability to make select dog friends when given slow introductions over a reasonable period of time. Copper could potentially live with another dog again given the right match. Due to his hound nature and his enjoyment of baying, Copper is not suitable to live in an apartment at this time.
