Epic! Go from 0 to 100 with this complete set-up. Beautiful drums, beautiful sound. I love this set, make no mistakes, it has been babied. Gorgeous rich clear lacquer on bass, snare, floor tom. Wood grain underneath is sexy af. Top toms have a cream wrap, really makes everything POP! Sound quality of these puppies is amazing. Massive bass drum hits hard yet still retains a full sound envelope. Toms are on the small side, very melodic and expressive. Floor tom is an incredible piece, worth ~$600 on it's own, and has that incredible maple sound. All drums have Evans Genera G2 skins, a personal favorite with a dry, muted finish I believe accents the drums quite well. I custom ordered this set for colour and sound quality reasons. So it's actually 3 levels of Taye drums: (1) Studio Maple -- 100% maple, the highest quality. (2) TourPro -- a blend of birch and basswood, select highly aesthetic pieces (3) Pro-X -- identical shells as TourPro but with less aesthetic wood grain (identical sound quality, just not good enough for clear coat apparently) - 14" x 6" snare: TourPro - 10" & 12" rack toms: Pro-X - 16" floor tom: Studio Maple - 24" x 16" bass drum: TourPro **yes, the bass drum is massive** Cymbals!
