We are looking for an experienced Collections & Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team at U-PAK Mobile Mini-Storage in Victoria. U-PAK is a growing mobile storage company with locations in Victoria, Langford, Vancouver & Pitt Meadows.
In this role you will work closely with other team members in the Accounting Department to ensure tasks are completed on time and accurately.
It is expected that the successful candidate will spend 60% of their time on Accounts Payable and 40% on Collection procedures. The successful candidate will effectively employ company collection policies in order to collect past due ( 90+ days) accounts. They will also input supplier invoices into Quickbooks and maintain the accounts payable cycle in order to ensure supplier payments are paid in a timely manner. Reconciliation of monthly credit card statements will also be the responsibility of the successful candidate.
We are looking for:
Prior experience in the collection of small debts
Knowledge of the warehouseman lien act would be an asset, but is not required
Prior experience with Quickbooks Accounting software
Experience using Microsoft Suite of Products, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
College diploma in accounting or prior demonstrated equivalent bookkeeping experience
Prior experience managing & reconciling Intercompany accounts and credit card statements
Great communication skills in verbal, phone and written media
Ability to prioritize items and not afraid to ask for help when needed
This is a full time opportunity reporting directly to the CFO at our head office at 878 Viewfield Road, Victoria, BC.
Pay will be based on prior experience
