Very pretty small tree with glossy dense dark green leaves. Foliage is similar to that of the common myrtle. Sometimes the Chinotto is referred to as the Myrtle-leaf orange. Compact growth habit, great in containers. Highly ornamental, particularly when covered with its white blossoms and golden yellow fruit. The fruit start green, turn yellow, then a golden orange and hang on to the tree for a good part of the year. Made and grown locally in our little hobby greenhouse here in beautiful North Saanich on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. Citrus plants make wonderful indoor plants with the clean citrus scent from their fragrant flowers and delicious citrus fruit. Living plants enhance your living space and improve the air you breathe... and they look beautiful in the process. You also get to enjoy the fresh fruit! Can be grown outdoors for much of the year, or indoors year-round. Grows well in containers. Should be brought indoors for winter or protected outdoors during the coldest days.
