Lovingly handcrafted by Grandpa, our 12 year old has outgrown his beloved art centre. Made of solid maple, it features a centre dowel to hold a roll of paper for those times when your child just has to get sketching, painting, or colouring before the inspiration lapses. On the opposite side, there is a removable easel to support framed canvases or other solid media. Trays on both side keep pencils, parishes, or crayons organized and keep paint from getting spilled. This lovely piece of furniture has launched many art projects and has been a feature in our home for many years, having a few paint stains to prove it. The unit disassembles easily by removing four bolts and folds flat for transportation or storage. We’re sad to see it go, but we hope it will inspire other youth throughout their artistic adventures.
