Childcare / Respite Care / Tutor

Hello, I am seeking a dependable part-time long-term caregiver for one teenager. Located in Saanich, near Uptown mall. Starting end-June. I can offer up to 40-hours-a-week for 2-4 weeks this summer (1-2 weeks mid-end July and 1-2 weeks end-August) during Summer Break. I can also hire for 1-2 hours in the mornings before camp and 2-4 hours after camp (2weeks early July, possibly 1 more week, and 1week mid August). We can be flexible for hours and times a day. Tasks might involve driving him to horseback riding, swimming, or cooking lessons, and/or the movies/mall/etc (likely with a friend), the gym to work out, going for a bike ride... and possibly and providing support in English writing and grammar (guiding idea generation, creativity, editing, etc.). Recognizing the work involved in interviewing/hiring/training, I am looking for someone long-term, extending their work relationship with us into the school year, and up to 2-years.. I can hire for up to 5-days a week, mornings and afternoons. Full-time hours for Spring, Summer, and Winter breaks. Schedule can be made to work with your availability since it's in advance. Entry level pay of $15/hour and negotiable up to $20/hour for those with a car/licence and appropriate qualifications/experience. Only those with a car. *Knowledge of mild physical disability is an asset, comfort with it is required. Disability is physical and MILD, so do not be fearful of applying as the child does not need much for support. *CRC required, and must be 19 years of age or older.
