Child Behavioural Support Worker

IDM Youth Services Inc. (IDMYS) strives to provide safe and stable homes for at risk youth while offering all-inclusive residential care. All-inclusive care includes things such as cooking, cleaning, driving to and from appointments, offering emotional and behavioural support, and more! We value building relationships with our persons served and strive to reduce their stress and provide continuity of care. We practice from a trauma informed lens with a person-centered scope and believe that all children and youth should be treated with dignity and respect. We are currently hiring for full-time and part-time worker positions to support an Indigenous child with complex needs and provide structured, energy burning activities throughout the day while at the same time providing a very calming, therapeutic environment. The current location for this resource is in the Westshore temporarily until we are able to acquire a location in the Cowichan Valley or Duncan area. IDMYS primarily operates in a live-in shift capacity. Shifts are typically 24 or 16 hours in length and include sleeping hours. IDM Youth Services Inc. has regular opportunities for advancement and offers training certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. Compensation and hours: 24 hour shifts, 8:00AM - 8:00AM are paid at a flat daily rate of $215 - $250 ($245 - $280 for weekend shifts) 16 hour shift, 4:00PM - 8:00AM are paid at flat daily rate of $135 - $145 ($150 - $160 for weekend shifts) Hourly shifts are paid at an hourly rate of $18.25 - $20.00
