This 1974 C&C 25 is an amazing boat to get you where you want to go in comfort. She's small enough not to break the bank with moorage and maintenance, but she's well appointed enough to sleep four, and she's tough enough to get you up to Alaska, as she did for us. We entered Giant Corn (the hilarious result of an urgent brainstorming session to come up with a boat name in a hurry) in the 2018 R2AK, or Race 2 Alaska for those unfamiliar with this particular event. We had a team of four and managed to complete the Victoria to Ketchikan leg in nine and a half exhilarating days. Our team and boat were featured in one of the Clips of the Day from that race, and here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=10&v=bY1Mhq4cqvw In the lead-up to the race, we made several upgrades, including: * Solar panel installation * New VHF with AIS receiver * New Mainsail * New main sheet * New light-wind sail - Generator * New foam for the quarter berth bench seat cushions In addition, we hauled out the boat and scraped and painted the bottom with anti-fouling paint, and we repainted the top. We applied a non-slip coat to the decks as well. This boat has a 9.9hp Suzuki motor, which has been regularly maintained and has never given us any issues. She's equipped with a sink, roomy ice box, and a head. Comes with Garmin GPS, depth sounder, and all the charts for the West Coast. Giant Corn is a fun and capable, well-built classic boat, ready to take you where you want to go.
