Camp Director

Rooted in United Church values, located in the Cowichan Valley and reaching out to people all over Vancouver Island, Camp Pringle is looking for a Camp Director to further our mission of providing excellent camp experiences and retreat space for people of all ages, abilities and identities. Offering a transformative experience by holding the children as the heart of the summer camp season and mentoring youth as leaders are core to our vision. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Camp Director leads the staff team and is responsible for, and has authority over, all matters relating to the year-round operation of the Camp Pringle facility. This includes the full oversight of the children's summer camp operations, licensed childcare program, and facility rentals. It is the Camp Director's responsibility to ensure the staff and camper's health and safety is always given top priority and that the mission, vision and values of Camp Pringle are nurtured and supported throughout its operation to create a sense of community and fellowship. The position is full-time, year-round with longer hours expected in the summer camp season and time-in-lieu to be taken for extra hours worked.
