$3000 OBO PRICE REDUCED Windy Affair Cal 3-30 from 1973 for sale. We bought her last year and did a bunch of work to clean her up as she was sitting for a couple years without much use or upkeep. We altered some of the interior carpentry to create some more storage/closets with the intention of living aboard. We replaced the alternator and thermostat in engine, got a new radio and cozy cabin propane heater, new bilge pump, new safety equipment, and some electrical repairs. We also put on new bottom paint in summer 2019. She is pretty well equipped for living aboard with a 3 burner propane stove, 25 galleon water tank and a porta potty head though she is all set up for a thru hull head, there was one previously, though it was removed by previous owners and replaced with the porta potty style. Ceilings are over 6 feet in the main cabin, 6 feet in the galley. We had an insurance survey done in summer 2019 and the boat was valued at 10 000. Our asking price is low due to the fact that we have moved provinces and would like to sell the boat asap. Make us an offer! She is currently insured, and can stay where she is at Westport Marina in Sidney for the time being. She comes well equipped for sailing, well rigged for single person sailing. Main sail, jib, and spinnaker sails in good shape Issues with the boat: -The fuel tank needs to be replaced before any major voyages. There is corrosion on the current one. Likely the engine will need work this season, but it is running and starting no problem as of now. -There are areas on the deck where the gel coat is in poor condition and flaking off. -There are some areas where rain gets in from above, one of the window panes and vents. Right now she is tarped up and kept warm and dry with a heater. This would be a great vessel for someone who knows about boats and boat repairs, or someone who wants to learn. Also a great live aboard vessel. Email to arrange a viewing, or see the 2019 survey. Viewings are best Sundays or Mondays, or weekday evenings.
