Prime Real-estate in Victoria. One cremation plot. Bordered by the ocean, it is the oldest cemetery in B.C. built in the Victorian Garden's era of 1872. It is a cemetery IN a garden of unusual plants shrubs and trees. Most of B.C's famous people and likely a few of the infamous, are buried here. (Emily Carr comes to mind under the heading of your choosing). Speaking as a realist, because raised gravestones ARE allowed (not allowed in other cemeteries) and plants are protected, you or your loved one will not be indecently RUN OVER by a tractor lawn mower once a week, as all gardening is done BY HAND by the City of Victoria. Further, the city does not re-cycle or layer graves every 100 years for re-sale, (sadly others do) so it remains yours or your loved ones, in perpetuity. Only sites ever get sold are the odd private ones discovered as unused and passed along by family such as this one. City does not have any to sell. Bought for myself one day but no longer in need of. If you have lost a loved one,or choose to pick your own location into eternity, there is not a more comforting place to be and visit, than Ross Bay Cemetery. Reasonable offers will be considered.
