This position works under the direction and guidance of the General Manager and along side their fellow Maintenance Tech to complete regular building maintenance and cleanliness throughout the resort. Duties will include but are not limited to, grounds keeping, including garbage pickup, snow and ice removal, leaf blowing, power washing etc., routine pool chemical and systems checks and using the Resort's ticketing system to address minor maintenance tasks including trouble-shooting and problem solving in guest rooms, restaurants, the kitchen spa and marina. In addition to these daily duties this role also supports contractors with larger facility projects. WHAT YOU OFFER... Minimum of one year customer service experience; Stamina to perform physical work, stand/walk for long periods of time; Foundational knowledge of carpentry, electrical and/or plumbing an asset, but not required; Completion of BCRPA Pool Operator Training an asset, but not required; WHMIS Certification; Extreme attention to detail + respect for what you do; Communication in a way that supports resolving misunderstandings; Respect for colleagues, managers and guests alike; A sense of humour + a fearless attitude about what needs to get done; Good command of English; Neat, clean, and friendly appearance; Availability for work on evenings, weekends and/or holidays; Own or have access to reliable transportation; Known in your circles (of friends, family and work) for being dependable and reliable.
