Bowl for Kids' Sake

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria (BBBSV) has launched their 8th Annual "Bowl for Kids' Sake Presented by the Bottle Depot" fundraiser to take place the weekend of April 24-26th at Langford Lanes in the Westshore. Bowl for Kids' Sake allows hundreds of people to don some bowling shoes, roll a strike and raise money for a great cause every year. Local businesses and community members are encouraged to form teams of up to 8 players and fundraise through BBBSV's Canada Helps page (which can be found at bbbsvictoria.com). Teams will go head-to-head in a friendly bowling competition, with each team playing on one of the three event days. Participating in this event serves as a great team-building activity for businesses or just a fun way to connect a group of friends in a meaningful way. People that aren't able to join a team but want to get involved, can help bowling teams raise money by donating to the team profiles on Canada Helps. This year, BBBSV is proud to be celebrating 43 years serving children and families in communities throughout southern Vancouver Island. The success of their Bowl for Kids' Sake event will allow BBBSV to serve more children and youth waiting for their mentors on their waitlist. The positive impacts of mentoring reach far beyond the individuals served, impacting communities long into the future.
