Located in Victoria and Burnaby, BC we offer a range of services from accounting audits, reviews and bookkeeping to risk management, commercial transactions and succession planning to taxation support in personal and corporate tax compliance. * Provide bookkeeping services to clients, and as well, keep the books for NKPG Services Ltd. * Perform bank deposits, keep financial records, and maintain balances on various accounts manually and with computer software, such as Sage and Quickbooks * Post journal entries and reconcile accounts to credit card and bank statements * Prepare payroll by calculating source deductions and handle monthly payroll remittances * Prepare trial balance, balance sheet, income statement, and GST returns quarterly, or as required * Compile financial statements for clients by reconciling account receivable, account payable, and tax accounts (payroll, corporate income tax, GST/HST, WorkSafe BC accounts), by calculating depreciation and amortization expenses of assets, making adjusting journal entries as required * Prepare notes to explain major items on the financial statements and prepare corporate tax returns Employment Requirements * Completion of a post-secondary program in accounting or a related field * 3 years' experience in financial or accounting position As an equal opportunity employer we encourage applications from all qualified individuals and specifically applicants from traditionally underrepresented groups - including Indigenous persons, vulnerable youth, newcomers, and persons with disabilities - who may contribute to the continued diversification of our organization.
