Noticed how high fuel prices are going? Worried about Alberta cutting us off? Make your own fuel from waste vegetable oil, and sell the extra! This plant has been producing about 3000 L/month of biodiesel and has potential to produce even more. This includes: -Cone bottom reactor tank -5 tall settling tanks (300 gallon each) -7 IBC totes for storage of oil and fuel -Many pumps, valves, fittings -Heavy duty timers -Fuel quality testing equipment -Hot water heater converted for glycerol recovery Also included but not pictured is a 300 gallon stainless steel tank with heat exchanger, heat element, and other fittings that can be used to scale up production (or reduce labour cost by producing more efficiently than the current configuration). Could potentially include a truck and tidy tank for deliveries. As a member of the Island Biodiesel Co-op I have been supplying their members with fuel, and also selling to farms and contractors. Without any marketing effort, I have been able to sell all the fuel I can produce, working on it about 20 hrs/week. With some effort, this could be a very good business, especially with the current provincial government's emphasis on green fuels (and current fuel prices!) I am selling because I am relocating to the Prairies and would prefer (1) to keep our biodiesel co-op supplied with fuel and (2) not have to move it so far! I will be around until August to advise on production technique.
