The four leaves are 18" wide, allowing the table to expand to 10ft long. The split pedestal base makes it easy to get in and out of your seat without banging your shins into table legs! I'm not sure of the year, but my great -grandparents bought it from their neighbour in 1932. You can see there is some wear on the table top, mainly because it's been the family table for a long time. related to my ad for the "Antique Oak Buffet or Sideboard".
