$450 · Altec Lansing 890c Bolero Speakers

This is a sad day. I don't really want to sell but I am not using them and can't see that I will in the near future....so I guess I will pass them on to someone else to enjoy. There is not much that needs to be said about these speakers. They are arguable one of the best sounding "large bookshelf" speakers ever made. They are in very good condition condition except for one missing Altec logo. They do have some marks but it just seems to add to the image of these speakers. These will fill just about any room with full natural sound. It features the 406-8c high compliance woofer with latge voice coil and massive magnet structure for highest efficiency and clean lows. An Altec 10 " free suspension phase inverter (passive radiator) augments the speaker wave forms for effortless low end reproduction. Above 2000Hz, the extended response compression driver coupled to a cast aluminum horn spreads silky highs throughout any room. These are very efficient (94-96 db per watt) and don't need a lot of power to get very loud. They work great with tubes. This along with the hand rubbed walnut finish and fretwork grill make these the highlights of your system. These are freshly oiled and ready to for a new home. 40-20,000 Hz 50 watts (can actually handle much more) 8 ohms 26"H x 14.5"W x 12"D 40 lbs ea I have researched all online sales and feel this is a fair so I'm firm on the price.
