Victoria, BC Full-time, Part-time Job requirements Languages English Education Automotive Red Seal (Mechanic's) Experience Mechanical Repairer Specific Skills Test and adjust units to specifications; Complete reports to record problems and work performed; Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions; Diagnose faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit; Repair or replace mechanical units or components Provide customer service. Front end components; Engine repair; Engine repair and overhaul; Diagnostics; Diesel engines; Automatic transmission; Alignment, steering and suspension; Drive train components; Ignition and electrical system; Fuel and emission system; Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system; Brake system; Electrical and electronic system; Valid driver's licence Fast-paced environment; Automotive Service Technician Specific Skills Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements; Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems; Perform scheduled maintenance service; Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications; Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor; Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems and components Wages are very competitive and based on experience and qualifications.
