$600 · Lower Price! EAW FR250z Subwoofer, 2x15" Drivers, 1000w, with casters and cover

Edit: New lower price of $600 OBO. Get it while you still can. Need space badly, this champion of a subwoofer needs to go. Open to offers, or trades for live sound microphones. For sale: one FR250z subwoofer, passive, made by EAW (Eastern Acoustic Works). Cost $1,600 new, plus $150 for a padded slip-over cover (F1 series from Undercover NYC) and $100 for four swivel casters, two of which lock. The subwoofer is in good cosmetic condition and excellent functional condition. Sounds great, the dual 15" woofers are both punchy and deep, and very portable with the included casters and handles on both sides. Paint could use a touch-up if you're going to use it in corporate settings, but that's reflected in the asking price. Each driver is in a separate chamber and is configured in a push/pull orientation where one speaker is facing forward and the other facing backward. What this does is effectively cancel out any distortion from nonlinearities in the cone movements, making this a very clean sounding cabinet for a bass-reflex design. 4-ohms, wired to SPEAKON locking connectors, re-wired to pins 1+/1- for ease of use. Can handle 1,000watts continuous, so driving it with an amplifier capable of 2,000-watts at 4-ohms is a good place to start. Amplifier not included but I have one available that I would sell if interested (Crest Pro-Lite 3.0 for an extra $500). Used for live bands and DJ's at weddings, balls, and dances, both indoors and outdoors. Great output for its size, from a great speaker manufacturer. Always treated well and used with recommended high-pass filter and limiter settings from manufacturer by meticulous sound engineer. This would be great for bands doing their own sound, starter PA for sound engineers, or to live in a small live music venue. Should last many more years of hard work, but no longer fits my business needs. See link to spec sheet below.
