When Chris Hadfield commanded the International Space Station, he brought along a Larrivee P-01 parlour guitar. His guitar was a very plain and unadorned model with no binding or inlay. A very appropriate choice for such an austere environment. But if Chris had gone to Mars, he would have brought this baby. This is a Limited Edition version of the top-of-the-line Larrivee parlour guitar. Number 8 of only 30 of these guitars that were ever made, this instrument features a jaw-dropping tone wood set that has to be seen to be believed. The BP designation in the model name denotes Bubinga Pomelli, a Central African hardwood sometimes referred to as waterfall Bubinga due to its intense figuring. A Sitka spruce soundboard, maple binding, and mahogany neck round out the specs and make for a truly magical instrument. Don't let its beauty or its diminutive size fool you, this guitar is a tone monster with strong projection and a light, responsive touch. Parlour guitars are hot these days and finding one spec'd out like this (and with a 1-3/4" nut!) is almost impossible. Fabulous condition, OHSC. Don't wait on this one, it won't be here long. A steal at under 2k and just in time for Christmas. Show me where it says you can't buy yourself a Christmas present. Old Town Strings 1034 Hillside Avenue Victoria, BC 250-383-3413
