The time has come for me to part with my Amazing car. I have owned this golf since 287k. If you are looking for a fuel efficient vehicle that is fun to drive and can take you offroad this is a good option! With the tires and lift it is about 3" higher than the average golf. More acceleration than a newer tdi. I get a consistent 750-900+km on a tank. This is the last year of the legendary ALH engine. These engines have gone over 1 million km. Some of the features: Power windows, locks, heated seats, leather, adjustable lumbar for driver and passenger, kenwood double din with cd player and Aux, USB, Bluetooth, Power mirrors, A/C, ABS brakes. The stereo is upgraded with a JL 6 channel amp and added subwoofer with upgraded speakers. Modifications since I have owned the vehicle: Engine: stage 4 custom malone tune with .220 injector nozzles, upgraded to the 11mm injector pump. 3 bar map sensor. Southbend stage 2 endurance clutch. Muffler delete. VNT17 turbo (GT1749VB) EGT and boost guages. Dawes boost controller. New upgraded VR6 front springs and Rear wagon springs with front spacers raise the car about 1.25 inches. Aluminum heavy duty skid plate. 16" core racing evo 7 wheels with continental Extreme contact DWS06 tires. Tow hitch and roof racks. Optional 225/70/15 general AT2 tires almost new with oem vw wheels for an extra $750. Maintenance since I bought the vehicle: glow plugs, ball joints and tie rods, tie rod boots, control arm bushings, right front wheel bearing, transmission output shaft seals, Redline transmission fluid, clutch fork, throwout bearing, input shaft seal, new Single mass 21lb flywheel, front brake pads and rotors, silicone vaccum lines, glass headlights, continental 160k timing belt and waterpump kit done at 305,019km. Fuel filter, air filter. Most recent oil change was at 304,500km or so. I may be missing a few things. Was in alberta at one point and has some rust on the front rocker panels, a common issue on these cars. has a cracked windshield. Has some scrapes and dents. Not pretty close up. But is a solid car!
