$1,250 · 2002 Nissan Xterra 4x4 - 5 speed manual transmission , runs rough, oil leak

I have a 2002 Nissan Xterra that was my daily driver up until just over a year ago, when it began having engine problems. At this point it may be a simple timing adjustment, a brand new distributor or even a whole engine swap that is needed. The body is in pretty good shape and I'm pretty sure transmission is good. Not sure the exact km's but its around 350,000.
