$700 · 2 - Sumo Ulysses Series II, 2 Channel MOSFET Amplifiers, 60 Watts per Channel

***Two amps available, not three as in the pictures*** These now discontinued, and hard to find amplifiers are in great condition. Pictures don't do them justice, for the simple fact I am not a photographer, and they are meant to be heard, not seen. The designer, who was well respected for his audio design work, has passed away, making these pieces even more collectable for audiophiles. I am the original owner. I used these 2 amps in a 5.1 system to power my fronts, rears and center channel. Subs were powered by a Sumo Polaris III. For listening to music or for watching movies, it was always a pleasure to my ears, a really great system, I enjoyed every time I sat down to listen to them. I have not used this particular system for a while due to space limitations and other priorities. It just seems a waste for them to be sitting around not being enjoyed. So here they are up for sale. I would like to sell the two together, but will consider selling individually. I would prefer local pick up, but would entertain the thought of shipping provided the buyer pay actual shipping (with insurance). Items would be lovingly double boxed. I do not have the original boxes, but do have the owners manuals. The Ulysses II was the smallest of Sumo's amplifiers but by no means a weakling. If you take off the top cover you will see a 400VA transformer, 20,000UF of filter capacitance, and output MOSFETS capable of dissapaiting 600 continuous watts of power. In fact, the Ulysses II can source up to 50 amperes of peak current, more than some 200 watt- per- channel amplifiers. The Ulysses II can easily drive low-impedance or demanding loads with both finesse and power. There is no invasive current-limiting or electronic protection to degrade the sound. It's rating may be 60 watts per channel (@8ohms, 100 watts @ 4 ohms), but that's not its limit. Cash only please, you pick up (will ship as stated above). Please see my other items for sale.
