$5,295 · 1982 Edel 665 Red Hull with custom aluminum extension 26', Honda 8hp LS

Offering my sailboat of nearly 20 years. Skookum, a very unique cruiser for the Gulf Islands. She needs a few minor things doing and I do not have the time. Some things recently done and price reflects this. In 2008 a custom aluminum extension was added ($4500) by a shipwright. The job he did was spectacular and changed a stubby day sailor into a full mini sloop with the correct lines. She looks better and sails better. Right now the current co-owner and sailing buddy is abroad and not likely to come back to BC any time soon and I really no longer have interest in owning a small sailboat, or have the time I once had to dedicate to sailing, so we have agreed to sell her. The motor is a Honda 4 stroke 8hp from 2006. Maybe 150 hours (max). It needs a carb overhaul and oil change. Sails are all good, A genoa, and a small jib. Mainsail is original and fully functional with no damage. It has just been cleaned and checked over. All lines are original and still functional though the mainsheet, while new. is temporary as she sits at the marina and needs replacing for a longer one with the correct reach. All hardware, winches etc are operational. Life lines are good as are mast stays which look like new still. She is fitted for shore power The interior has been customized from the original with a forward berth semi closed off from the aft cabin area and galley with a flat panel TV and a refrigerator/bar section. Very ingenious layout inherent in this French design has been further enhanced. She needs a haul and new bottom AF paint. Hull thru's replaced in 2009 when a new head was installed. All PFDs and safety equipment goes with her. Mainsail is removed for cleaning as are hand rails/tiller which are being re-varnished with SIKKENS Cetol Marine. All interior cushions and carpets are currently in dry storage. VHF and Hummingbird 150 Depth Sounder/Fish Finder Aft rail fitted for fishing, extension has storage for removable gas tank and propane. Can also house a 2nd battery. Has a custom heavy duty ladder that fits to the port side of the cockpit. Handy for swimming or overboard emergency.
