A great driving classic Metropolitan. Original 1500cc motor rebuilt a few years ago and has about 5000kms on it. The motor was built to MGA specification for more power and it goes pretty good! It has new MGA pistons (higher compression) and was bored .010", oversized, a better Shadbolt camshaft was installed, as well as a MGA cylinder head with larger valves. It now has dual S.U. HIF4 carburetor and MGB manifolds with nice 2" exhaust. Other upgrades include a more highway friendly 3.9:1 rear differential and new poly leaf spring bushings, a front sway bar, front disc brakes, electronic ignition and a S.W. water temp gauge. All the original parts have been kept and come with the car. The car was repainted in it's original colours many years ago and the upholstery was redone at some point as well. It currently has collector plates and draws attention at shows. There are a couple minor spots of rust, a couple scratches, and could use new rubber gaskets around the windshield and rear glass as they leak (but the car has been kept inside during the winter). I've absolutely loved driving "Coral the Met" for the last 8 years and I'm sad to part with her but it seems to be the only practical solution now that we have a little baby. I'd rather see it be enjoyed than sit in the garage. I'd even fancy buying her back in 15 years or so!
