$10 · Boy’s Bike Stolen in James Bay March 14

Photo below is NOT actual stolen bike, just similar looking. Ours is older and has a bit more blue on the frame, if I recall correctly. It's new to us but not new. My eleven year old has always been too nervous to try riding after one bad fall on his first training wheel-free day years ago. My husband finally got him to give it another go with an old bike he's had in storage for years, and on Friday my kid proudly told me he had finally learned how to ride a "two wheeler" properly. He was psyched and super proud. He and his dad were going to buy a lock and take it out this week so he could get used fo riding it more. Unfortunately my husband and I were away this weekend and my older son was babysitting. I forgot to tell him to make sure it was put away safely. He assumed my youngest had a lock for it, and of course, on the very first night that it has ever been left unlocked without a cover, it was stolen. Probably happened in the wee hours of the night on Saturday night or Sunday morning. No sign of it anywhere around our building or the neighbourhood. I'm really hoping someone may have seen it and can help me recover it. It's just an older youth boys BMX style bike, but it's pretty easy to spot because it's bright royal blue and orange. If anyone knows someone who has suddenly mysteriously acquired a bike like this or if you've spotted one left unattended in James Bay, can you call or email me? I can't offer much but I've got ten bucks for anyone who helps us get the bike back. I'm not optimistic, but hell, it's worth a shot, right? I know my son should have been more responsible but I should have reminded him about making sure it was put away safe before he came in. He's pretty heart broken right now and I'm sad because it sucks to see him finally want to do this and then have some jerk thief go and ruin it less than 48 hours later.
