Maddie is the shier girl of the pair and can be nervous when meeting new people and being in new surroundings. Having Karma around seems to make her more confident and willing to explore. Once she knows you're a friend, she loves to give head butts and get scratched behind her ears. Maddie has lived with Karma her whole life, so they need to go to their new home as a pair.
