This is a medium arm, high speed straight stitch machine. From Presser foot to base is 8”, so once the quilted top rolls up, it’s a narrow, but long, space the machine can run back and forth in. Amazing what can be done in that space though! There is a shelf for pantagrams you can follow with a laser pointer, but I prefer free motion quilting in that space. It can be set up so it is 10 feet wide, or 5 feet. When I am quilting a few tops, it lives in my living room. Between quilts it comes apart and lives behind my couch. It also has an extension table and a foot control if you don’t want to use it in its frame. I purchased an even feed foot for it that I have not used, but was told I would have to sew more slowly than the crazy fast usual speed. There is a YouTube video for setting it up, as well as a binder that shows how on paper. I have set it up and taken it down many times. It usually has taken me about two hours.
