BRONZE Color Wax art Wall Plaque. It is hand carved with great detail showing birds on a branch, beautifully carved flowers and an amazing theme: birds protecting a nest ( with 3 eggs ) from predators. The great expressions of each bird tells this story. This is made of a hard wax, these types of plaques were inspired by antique wooden butter or cookie molds. There is a loop on top for hanging. It is 9 " x 6 3/4". In very good vintage order - a tiny chip on the lower part. In the 1950's, these wax plaques became very popular in German home decor.
