Felix Alberto Beltran Concepcion is an award-winning Cuban graphic designer, painter, draftsman and engraver. He was born in 1938 in Havana. His most famous design images are the iconic poster-sized renderings of Angela Davis and Che Guevera. He studied in the USA, and took part in many international collective exhibitions. Since the mid-1980's he has resided in Mexico City. These graphics (3) were purchased in Cuba in 1976. They have been carefully stored since that time. The brilliant yellow, orange, and red colours call attention to the new "Triumph of the Revolution" philosophy. The graphics measure 27" X 29", and are stone-signed, and dated (1974). There are minor flaws in the original print process (see pictures). The pieces are machine stitched around the outside edges. These brilliant graphics represent an exciting period in Cuban history. Framed, they would be an eye-catching addition to any modern setting. We have an assortment of collectibles from Cuba. Please call to view. 250 658-0587
