Looking for my next long term rental after 18 years!

I’ve lived in my current home for 18+ years & it has now been sold. I have always paid rent on time & taken great care of the house & property. I have been a homeowner & understand the importance of having someone care for your home as if it were their own. What I seek: 2-bedrooms or a larger 1-bedroom, or a 1-bedroom/den combo, some storage space would be welcome. Outdoor space that I can call my own where I can putter in a garden or with flower pots, the more private, the better. Privacy is pretty important to me & I like to keep to myself. If some of the outdoor space is covered, that would be wonderful! Would like to stay in the western communities if I can, or Strawberry Vale area, but I’m open to other areas. Cat friendly is a must. About my cat & I: I am 60+ & live a quiet life, my job is very secure; I am a (very) long time B.C. government employee. I am respectful & reliable. Some of the things that interest me are gardening, light hiking, spending time with my family & friends, gaming, crafting, being at the beach. I also enjoy volunteering. I am currently on the Board of Directors for a non-profit organization where I have been a volunteer for almost 10 years now. I live with my 10-year old cat Elza who is very loving. Elza is litter trained from living a number of years in an apartment with her last family. Elza enjoys visiting with me outdoors (until she sees a squirrel & then bolts back into the house!). She weighs 7.5 pounds, and is black with a little patch of white. Timing and Budget: I MUST be out by January 31, 2024 but I can leave at any time before that with notice. I could negotiate a start date that works for us both if we are a fit. I would like to keep the rent in the low $2,000s (or less!), but am completely open to a higher rent if some utilities are included &/or if your space is a good fit!
