$150 · 1913 Vintage Teddy Bear

Sweet vintage teddy bear, purchased in1913 for the original owner. It has remained in the same family since the time of original purchase. This old bear measures 12” tall and has been “well-loved” (and is mostly bald as a result). However, it has intact stitching, excelsior stuffing, jointed arms and legs, original black shoe-button eyes, and embroidered facial features. The hands and feet show old cotton fabric repairs. The bear also comes with a hand-sewn jacket, grey flannel trousers, and a Scottish hat, all made for the original owner of the bear. The features suggest that this bear may be a STEIFF brand (from Germany); there is no intact labelling to substantiate this but it is known that the original owners were living in Germany at the time of purchase.
