This coffee pot has a beautiful shape, shiny metal finish (not silver) with sycamore wood handles making this an iconic representation of mid twentieth century design, while also being a timeless classic that fits into modern schemes. The pot is cast in one piece to ensure no leaks occur and even the spout was designed to be 'non-drip' so this must have been a key feature of the product at the time. It's a lovely solid pot and it's about 7 1/4 inches high. A bit of history: Picquot (pronounced Pea ko) Ware was produced by Burrage and Boyd in England. They were a company founded in Northampton in 1932 and closed down in the 60s. On the base is written Made in England and Picquot Ware J6. This coffee pot was a wedding gift for a dear friend of mine and she got married on July 12, 1958.
