1966 Oxford University Press. 177 pages. The Sonnets of Milton With Introduction and Notes by John S. Smart. A reprint of the 1921 edition. Good condition book with some minor spine glue deterioration and just a bit of pen notes on one page as well as on the inside cover (where the previous owner wrote his name in 1968). Minimal shelf wear. Uncommonly good condition for a paperback of this age. John Milton is of course the great 17th century English intellectual, poet, pamphleteer, and historian, best known for Paradise Lost which is widely regarded as the greatest epic poem in English. Milton himself is considered the most significant English author after William Shakespeare. Pick up is in Saanich close to the Monkey Tree Pub. Cross-posted.
