Senior Accountant

We have a strong team environment with a commitment to great client service. We are looking for an energetic self-starting Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for completing engagements in a timely manner and assisting in training junior staff. Our practice encompasses a wide range of clients in a variety of industries while small enough to allow you to develop working relationships with clients and all members of our team. Advantages: Competitive salary Benefits package Fridays off during summer months Time off in lieu of overtime Flexible time off Exceptional career growth opportunities A chance to work on new and interesting tax issues Respect and recognition for work well done Specifically you will: Prepare financial statements in compliance with ASPE Produce accurate and timely audit and review engagements Prepare Compilation engagements independently Prepare complex personal and trust tax returns Prepare projections, forecasts, business plans and other projects Complete corporate tax returns Be able to address client issues with third parties such as, regulatory auditors, financiers, etc. Researching tax issues our clients face in their day-to-day operations To qualify for this opportunity you possess: CPA designation A bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or similar) Minimum 2 years experience in progressive roles within public accounting Strong technical accounting skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills The ability to work under pressure Proficient with standard accounting software (CaseWare, Profile, Simply Accounting, QuickBooks) Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year Benefits: Dental care Extended health care Paid time off Vision care Schedule: Monday to Friday Overtime Supplemental pay types: Bonus pay Overtime pay
