Bookkeeping Clerk

Company Overview Philbrook’s Boatyard is the premier full-service boatyard situated in Tsehum Harbour in Sidney, BC. Family owned and operated since 1955, we are committed to providing excellence and value in every boatyard experience. We are looking for a dedicated bookkeeper to oversee our US subsidiary recordkeeping. This includes: • Recording daily sales and associated AR and bank deposits • Recording accounts payable invoices • Creating payment batches for AP (cheques are printed & distributed by US location staff) • Verifying subledger in Lightspeed program to general ledger in Quickbooks online • Monthly bank reconciliation • Processing weekly payroll with 3rd party payroll provider and remitting benefits payments (payroll consists of 8 – 12 people at any given time) If you are looking for a fairly independent position with oversite duties, this is the position for you. Hours are from 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Flex hours are a consideration for the right person. This position is available immediately.
