The Finance Manager will work closely with and report to the GM to provide payroll, finance and accounting services, supervision and support for one of the largest strata corporations and privately owned communities in the province. The Position requires an accounting degree, certificate or designation, at least five years’ accounting experience, preferably in a supervisory role, including: full cycle Fund accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, budget development, audit preparation and support, payroll services provision and/or payroll management experience. Experience with Adagio or fully conversant with accounting asset is key for this role. Duties and job description: -Assist and support the GM in the budget development cycle. -Supervise, train, & perform employee reviews for a small finance team. -Responsible for support & supervision of commercial lease administration & GST reporting. -Assist the GM in establishing effective cash & investment management strategy for the different Funds. -Responsible for accurately recording all financial transactions for Fund Accounting. -Responsible to maintain an accurate general ledger. -Prepare timely month-end financial statement, statement of financial position, accounts payable & accounts receivable summaries, investments statement & reconciliations of all funds. -Prepare monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts. -Prepare year-end financial data for General Meetings. -Participates in Finance Committee meetings to assist the committee & GM with financial detail reporting. -Maintains relationship with the strata auditor to oversee end of fiscal year financial reports. -Responsible for support and supervision of Bi-weekly payroll of all strata staff & submission of reports and payments to external parties as required. -Responsible for support & supervision of the accurate completion of conveyance documents, Strata Forms B & F. -Responsible for support & supervision in the accuracy of information & maintenance of owner database. -Maintain accurate records of strata lot rentals & ensure Forms K are current. -Admin support for general meeting preparations & day of logistics. -Knowledge of best operating practices for administration of the Strata Corporation. -Provide excellent customer service
