All solid wood--no veneer. Bought it and left it in its original packaging and put it in storage. Thought we'd use it for the new kitchen but my wife said no. Not a scratch on it. Gorgeous rock maple. 60 inch by 40 inch without leaves; has 2 leaves, so can be 60" x 60" or 60" x 80". Would easily seat between 10 and 14 people when fully extended. Would make a perfect small boardroom table.
