We are a luxury design/build firm, specializing in high-end residential design. We are seeking a creative, passionate senior designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. An ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic team player with the ability to handle projects from conception through to construction. QUALIFICATIONS Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field 4+ years of related work experience Experience in construction document preparation (IFT & IFC) and onsite coordination Strong Vectorworks skills, 2 D / 3D Software, Microsoft Office Suite (ie. Powerpoint, Word, Excel, etc.) & proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (ie. Photoshop, Indesign, etc.) Proficient in all code related requirement and design (specifically for the province of BC) Ability to manage multiple project deadlines Provide mentoring & coaching to our junior designers ATTRIBUTES Excellent organization & communication skills Exceptional attention to detail Creative and inspired by problem-solving Supportive team player Excels under pressure & fast-paced environments Ability to multitask many different projects and tasks * essential Excellent knowledge of construction process Upbeat, positive, and loves to laugh! RESPONSIBILITIES Approach your design work with initiative and creativity Manage assigned projects from start to finish, from concept development, sourcing, budgeting to construction Develop plans (floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, and elevations) using Vectorworks Produce complete architectural, interior construction and specification drawings for permit application 3D modeling an asset Product procurement Prepare client presentations Assist Creative Director with day to day tasks Mentor, educate & manage Junior staff members The right candidate will be able to assist clients through the design process and offer exceptional customer care.
